For the love of Tera Roak
To be really honest I hate topics like these. You expect BHS to take this serious and yet you post a horrible wall of text. The punctuation is awful, the arguments that could effect you negatively are hardly there and if so not elaborated on and your approach to BHS and other players is aggressive as can be. I don't get the fact that you expect a real company to look at this seriously and yet you don't even try to take care of: grammar, punctuation and your vocabulary. Then there is the crazy set up where you generalize seemingly everything and assume every single gamer agrees with you. Normally you share your opinion and friendly try to convince your audience rather then forcing people to agree with what you want.
Like Hwin stated at the end of the day BHS is a company that has to make money to keep the company and their game alive. Isn't focussing on what 80% wants a very clever decision? Aye it is.There are 7 billion people on this earth and everyone is different. Why for the love of Roak* are you trying to push all of us into one box as if we all like the same? Next to that I think there is a reason an MMORPG is called a game. An mmo game is meant to be fun for a large (massive) player base (multiplayer online) and letting them be part of an epic story (role playing game)
Isn't that the point of an rpg letting someone experience an epic story. I don't see why an instanced epic raid can't let players achieve the ''so wanted'' fame. And neither why all sorts of different people should be forced into on single play style. Why should someone be a worse player just because they value different things? I think you should ask yourself those questions before you start writing writing horrible walls like these. And the funniest of all is that there is almost no solid information about this part of the game. You are trying to influence something thats not even influenceable. Anyways my thoughts on this piece of whatever.
Anyway, there are types of ppl in this world. Maybe 80 % of the pve lovers do want something wow alike. But there are other side of that , ust i believe a little smaller, who wants quite the opposite. And if BHS do focuse on that other side of players who want open world pvp, then they wont go wrong, and their profits shouldnt suffer. On the contrary they should be the ones to gain profits , cause , i think we all can agree that we got plety of fail mmorpgs right now who we dont want to play because of the PVP system. But if they make a good pvp mmorpg then they got all the masses from pvp mmorpgs switching over to Tera. They can make a great pve content which will atract pve lovers but by not messing up few traits in PVP they will make it golden. And i am not forcing my opinion to any1. I am expresing my thoughts about this subject, i am not being rude nor aggressive towards other ppl's statements.
And i do know that wherry large quantity of ppl think alike with me. They may have a little different visions in some questions but overall , they share the same vision as me.
And yes a RPG are ment to let others experience a epic story line . But then let them play Rpg's. Tera is a mmorpg, meening that it has to have both Epic story line and player interaction. Thats what its all about , right?
Elementalist choice of weapons for PvP
Which weapon combo do you think will be best for PvP? In the scepter video, it is obviously a very skilled PvPer with a very good knowledge of the game, so there must be a good reason for him to use those weapons..
BUT, it seems like total biscuit is doing a TON more dmg than the other guy with his staff.. (2k fireballs, AOE), while the other guy hits 500 with flamestrike.. The other guy does have rock armor, a healing phoenix, and a knockdown, but he misses out on a bubble, flaming retreat, lava aoe, etc.
I don't think there is one particular weapon combo that is “best” for all situations. The important thing in GW2 is, that you can switch roles on the fly, by switching weapons or (in the case of the elementalist) attunements. One moment you may want to be a ranged damage dealer using the staff, the next you may want to get into closer range to take the pressure away from a team mate who is in trouble, so you switch to scepter/focus or dagger/dagger… you may even switch from damage to support skills if the situation requires that to help out your team. And with the four attunements you have available to your (fire/air/water/earth), each with their own set of weapon skills, you have a wide range of options to cover all the different situations. Each weapon set has its own uses.
Also, note that flamestrike is not a staff skill but a scepter skill… yes, you don't want to be exposed to the long-ranged staff skills for a long time… you will want to get up close and attack that ele face to face… and force him to switch to a weapon set that is more useful up close.
