Hopefully Blizzard will make each skill viable, but history has shown that it is damn near impossible; some skills will be more useful than others. If the skill was changed so that nothing got through it (magic, projectiles), then it would be 10 times better, as you could use it to shield yourself from a ton of ranged enemies while killing off the enemies near you. But Serenity already does that, with a smaller duration, but you're still mobile.
Even the base EP is better.- SSS is terrible with this patch's change. Its barely worth it considering the only benefit is that the monk goes invulnerable for the duration of the ability.
